What is the Medical Termination of Pregnancy?

The patient suffering from liver or kidney problems, heart disease or even high blood pressure is administered with a high dose of antibiotics to prevent any complications. Also, women using an intrauterine device are considered to be not eligible for medical abortion.
Who is not eligible for the treatment
Although there are no long-term side effects due to the medicines used in the process as both medicines do not affect a woman’s fertility, there might be some short-term effects of medical abortion like physical problems like excessive bleeding, nausea, vomiting, fever, and chills. Infection in the pelvic area and blood clots in the uterus are also common occurrences in medical abortion.
What are the post-treatment guidelines?
Medical terminating pregnancy can be a painful procedure both physically and mentally that may last for a couple of weeks. And always better to take complete rest until complete recovery before getting back to your daily life. Preferable to have someone to cheer you up and better handle the mood swings and drastic hormones after abortion. In the case of cramps, it's suggested to massage & usage of heating pads to relieve cramps.
